it is a small plastic panel with a switch to turn the RF amp on, and a 1/8th inch stereo female jack. Here is mine After I took the switch out of it.

How I did mine was I bought a 07 package tray and the connector that went into the bottom of the jack ( that plug is available in the Motorcraft wiring catalog)

I put the power switch in the bottom of the package tray next to the input jack by cutting a square hole in the mat and tray for it to pop into.

The reason I did that is I use a windshield mount for my DroidX when I have it in the truck. I also put a power port in the new package tray so I can plug in my GPS and the car dock for the Droid.

With a little thought you could put the switch and jack anywhere you want.

When I worked for Tasca I got the best parts guy in the business to get me the connector number from the wiring harness that would plug into the tray, I ordered the pigtail as a service part out of the motorcraft connector catalog and I cut the wire off the 1/8 inch jack on the triptunes input and soldered them together left to left, right to right, left ground, right ground, and pigtail grounds all got soldered together

yes if you bought a FM modulator you could do the same thing, but I found the triptunes to have better rejection than most modulators I have seen. No noise from on channel or adjacent frequencies.

Soza.... welcome to the past week of my life.. I have an 06' Lariat and the stock radio has a pointless little AUX button to the right of the display screen.. However I REFUSE to believe that it has no purpose in its existence... All I want to do is wire a little AUX cord from the back of my radio to my iPod so I can jam.. There must be a place to wire in.. If you find out please PM me.. I threw my iPod dock out the window on I35 the other day because I cannot stand the cheap static sound.. I'm getting desperate.

I will get this figured out and let you know. I am very relentless when it comes to these type of things and I believe in keeping my truck stock with stock ford components.

Neggy's set up will work cause it uses the stock ford wiring set up and aux plug.

Neggy, what's with the switch you have cut in the dash tray?

Same issue on here in the last week or two. There was no input on the factory head unit. RCA jacks did not exist on my 2008 factory head unit. The 1/8" female connector in the top of the dash tray was the aux setting for my factory head unit. PIE is simple. Good luck.
