Yes, I've looked at the laws.

They are NOT DOT compliant, but all the police do is issue a fix-it ticket if they bother to stop someone for lighting violations. No revenue in that.

I haven't. It mad me so mad I just put everything away.

Lets end all the arguments so that I don't have to delete my thread. I was simply looking for an idea on why they maybe messed up. Thanks for all the different ideas on my issue.

I would verify the bulb is sealed in the housing correctly(seated flat). You also need to understand how a HID bulb emits light is different than a halogen bulb. Also, higher color temp bulbs are also going to have a lot less usable light. Personally, i wold not go over or recommend more than 6k. Low quality bulbs and low quality components will not help either.

I'm working on that. I have to trim the base of the bulb a little. When I say focused, I mean way off on one side it's bright than other spots. I installed one set in the passenger side and compared to the original halogen bulb in the driver side. The original bulb seemed MUCH brighter.
The same answer was given right away

Also wouldn't hurt to spend a couple extra bucks and get some good quality bulbs like from TRS. There gonna be nice and straight to make sure the bowl on the projector aims the light perfectly. Just my cents

Here is evidence. Left is halogen, right is HID. For those that want to say its because I have 8000k bulbs, it's not. I have 8000K bulbs in my other truck and they are MUCH brighter than any of these.

That's insane. Did you ignite it out of the projector to see the brightness?
