How come your throttle body is horizontal? On my 5.4 3v its mounted vertically on the intake manifold.

Cause it has a thing holding it that way for my K&N Cold Air Intake. Its how the instructions told me to do it, so I did it that way.

What is your vin number? I believe early 5.4's had the throttle body that way with the cone filter instead of the filter on top of the motor and the horizontal throttle body like the later models

Nah, mine had the box filter on top before I put the new intake in.

It looks different after installation, but, I followed the intructions to the T. I went over it a few times to be sure.
