Default Headlight Issue...

This fall I replaced my factory bulbs with APC Ultra Whites. They worked until feb/march before I lost my low beams. Passenger side, then driver side. So I replaced them with Putco PURE 6000k bulbs, hoping they would be a better quality. ( The APC broke when I took them out, just cheap plastic bases...). This morning, I started my truck for work and noticed my passenger High beam is out already. I only have 600mi on this set of bulbs I also replaced both sides at the exact same time and made sure not to touch the glass. Is it possible I got a bad bulb or should I start checking wiring?

I have had nothing but problems with these types of lights. http://www.danielsternlighting.com This website sheds some light (no pun intended) on this subject. If your bulbs aren't breaking in the lenses, I would say your wiring is fine although you might want to check your voltage at the sockets to make sure your alternator output is within specs.

Voltage is fine, i run at 14.3-14.4v constantly. I was hoping that by dropping $40 on a pair of bulbs they would have a decent life.... I think I'll just make the jump to HIDs now.

Installed! Everything was plug and play. Hardest part was figuring out where to mount the ballasts. Here's the write-up.
