I have a 2008 f150 xlt 4 door rwd that squeaks really bad and clunks a bit. I am not much of a mechanic but I saw that a ball joint was...well messed up. I can't figure out the part I need to order. Can someone identify it from the picture?

 

Sway bar end link I think it what it is called. The bushings rotted away.

I know a Cheap fix I ......cut some tire tread (little squares/rounds (x 2 pieces)...drill a hole & install 1 each side of the sway bar...Good to go !!

 

Bushings are completely gone. Sway bar end links are cheap and easy to replace

 

My truck loves to eat the cheap ones so, i found Moog problem solvers for the win.

 

There are numerous diameters. Take yours with you to the parts stores.
