I saw a thread earlier where a member was converting the front end of his 04 to a raptor. And that got me thinking, how hard would it be to convert my 06 FX4 to an 09+ front end? I assume I would need, new fenders, headlights, and grill along with hardware. Has anyone tried this before?

 

i think its more complex... the raptor build i read, the guy bought a kit made for our trucks.... AND had to do alot of custom fabbing to even make it work. Pretty sure they changed the entire truck in 09... Body lines wont line up

 

You could do a new expedition front clip. There are a few done and it looks killer.

 

any links to help me out? from the looks of it the 09+ is very similair to our trucks, i might have to go into the dealership and take some measurments and poke around though

I have always liked the expedition front clip swap just because it is something different and it still looks good!

This is why I haven't traded my 05 for a new one. It's still the same truck underneath. I'm sure the raptor is different in many ways tho.
