The new body style is actually completely different from the frame down to the brakes. Even more so for the raptor! About the only thing shared would be maybe axles and some suspension components. Axles for HD Payload on 09+ Body styles and 04-08 body styles are completely different though. With the 04-08 having the 10.25 axle and the 09+ having the 9.75.

Wow, the body is different, geez I hadn't noticed! In case you haven't noticed a 2012 uses the same handles, mirrors, I know for a fact you can take the entire interior out and put it mine. Before this turns into a Dick measuring contest, all I'm saying is a lot of components are compatible. Unless of course you have a new truck, then that would explain it.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean for my post to sound like I wanted to start a pissing match if it came across that way. I honestly didn't intend it to. I was just trying to state some differences, but yes you are absolutely right that many components on these different body styles are compatible.

My 08 has the 10.25 sterling axle out of the pre 98 f250s? That is super cool dude

I really thought we had 8.8s or 9.75s depending on engine

My 04 has a 9.75, didn't think the 10.25 was offered in this truck unless it was a 7 lug. The cab and doors are the same, roof is different. The frame is identical for the most part. The front end will "bolt on" once you get the 09 Rad support and aprons. The bumper and hood bolt right up tho.

4.6's got the 8.8 rear and 5.4's got 9.75s as far as normal, heavy duty may be different

It's cool friend, I appreciate it. Hey Sargeek, see this, two people can have a friendly debate without you calling everyone "stupid"!

Only the HD Payload package has the 10.25 axle for the 04-08 model. The HD Payload Package (for 04-08) is only on Ext. Cabs w/ 8ft bed 5.4L and has the 10.25 Sterling axle, 7-lug wheels, 4.10 gear ratio.

Also just because you have an Ext. Cab w/ 8ft bed doesn't mean you have HD Payload package. The easiest way to tell is you will have 7-lug wheels because all other models in this body style had a 6x135 lug pattern.

For all other trucks, V6 and 4.6 V8 all got 8.8 rear axle with the exception of a few 4.6 from what I've read possibly? and the 5.4 V8s all got the 9.75
