I'm pretty sure you're on the right track, I would assume it would pop out and the lamp would bolt in.

Thanks for posting the picture. I was having no luck. So, yes .... that is what I was thinking about a light going in its place. But are there not lights made to pop into its place?

I'd say the OEM ones will do it. Check out rockauto.com, they may have someone who makes a cheaper version of the OEM lamp.

I have checked everywhere and cannot find anything. It just makes no sense that something does not go there in its place?

Aren't those the ones that go in the bumper? That would not replace the plastic removeable cover?

Sorry for the confusion. There is a valance the sits behind the license plate in the center of the bumper. That is where that is from.
