Default fpdm

What are some signs that your fpdm is bad? I know mine is bad already I pulled it off today and poked a hole in the back with little pressure. Hoever, what are some signs that it is actually faulty? Also when I ahd the fpdm off the truck there was some rattling of some sort inside the module....?

when my truck is warmed up it seems to have a low idle at stop lights and a weak feeling to the power of the truck unless I really hammer on the gas pedal. could this be the fpdm as well?

Got some questions about this item. I got ready to leave for work today and the truck fired up ran for about 10 seconds and died. Did this 3 times then took the wifes car to work. I have a extended warranty I bought when I bought my truck I gave a 100 dollar deductable. But if its something easy I will fix it on my own just wanted some ideas.

My personal experience is that the truck just wouldnt start. All the lights came on and she was cranking over fine. When I checked my FPDM, the back was corroded enough to have a hole about the size of a quarter.

Or if your truck doesnt run right when its wet outside. Thats what was happening to me. Only when it was wet outside would my truck stutter and idle rough. I replaced the FPDM and bingo!..good to go.
