Mine would run like it had a quart of water in the gas tank! but only on wet days. It quit and wouldn't start again when I took it through the car wash and the under body wash started. After I took it off I saw all of the corrosion( the aluminum body had a big split in it!) and loose crud inside contacting the circuit board, I can imagine that stuff could cause shorts on the board in dry weather too. Rock Auto has the best price and they ship fast, I think mine was $62 including the shipping cost. I don't have a spare so it was really easy for me but with the stand off bushings that they supply now to prevent corrosion, it hit on the spare tire housing so I had to grind a little metal off of the end but no big deal.

I drove home all night in the rain without any issue. The next morning it wouldn't start as if the fuel pump was dead. Knowing that this part is one of the many of these trucks, I checked it after I checked the fuel pump fuse. I called a few of the surrounding dealers around and got prices from $135-$185.

is that installed? if it is I guess thats not too bad since you have to drop the spare but just for the part its pretty high, Napa wanted $89 but didnt have it in stock so i figured if it had to be shipped anyway why not get it cheaper? after the spare is down it goes pretty easy though,2 bolts and the plug. If you have to wait for it you might want to duct tape some plastic over it.

Well got home from work pulled the spare down and the fpdm looks a little rough. Started engine it still dies but seems to be surging then dying them a the exhaust has a smell of un burnt fuel. Also the little ENGINE, AND BATTERY LIGHT are coming on and dash blinks check gages. I think I'm just gonna get it towed and looked at and if the fpdm doesn't get fixed at the dealership I will buy one and replace it when i get it back if I can't talk them into trying to with the warranty company.

That's just the price of the part. There is 2 different parts. 1 is just the part and the other is the "kit" that comes with the part and 2 studs that raise the part off the frame.

And yes it's 2 8mm bolts that hold the part to the frame. Anyone can change it.

I needed the truck asap and couldn't wait to order it online so I had to get robbed from the dealership. I was just amazed with the huge difference in prices from one place to the next.

Well I know nobody probably cares but it was sad to see it off to the dealer not running now just gotta wait and see what the problem is and hope warranty covers it.

Mine idles at 500rpm unless the AC is on then it idles at 600. Sometimes it idles rough with slight fast shake which seems to get worse after hard accel, but doesnt matter if it's raining or not. So i'm curious if FPDM or MAF going bad. Notice the fuel pump has maybe less than a second squeal when turning key to the on position not sure if that is normal.
