Just looking to see if anyone is running a 2 chamber flowmaster? Just trying to see how much louder it is compared to a 3. Thats what I have now. I have looked on Youtube but I cant tell. The sound always suck on there. I know it will be louder but just trying to see about how much. Thanks for any information guys.

I want to hear a 5.4 with a 40 series and all else stock, tailpipe too. I had one on my old '96 Grand Cherokee (5.2) and damn that thing sounded good. If only the Triton could sound like that Magnum.

Flowmaster's 3-chamber mufflers incorporate an internal tuning chamber that helps to reduce your vehicle's interior sound level. Our 3-chamber mufflers, like the 50, 60, and 70 Series, produce a milder exterior tone than our 2-chamber mufflers. The difference in aggressiveness depends on which muffler that you have now, any other mods to your exhaust system, and the muffler that you are thinking about going with. You can always give our Tech Support Line a call at (707) 544-4761. Our customer support agents will be able to explain the specific differences between the Flowmaster muffler that you have currently and the 2 chamber muffler options that we have available for your vehicle.

I have a Flowmaster super 40 on a completely stock exhaust. Welded. I love the sound. Slightly aggressive but not overly so. Much lighter than the stock muffler. Original muffler looked like a small water heater only skinnier. Sounds much better while idling but really gets better when you step on the gas a bit. The sound is noticeable in the cab but not overly so. I'm glad that I installed this model. 2004 f150 Fx4.

I'm running the super 44 on a 5.4L with stock pipes and a pretty standard tip. Works perfect for me. Its got a dead sexy growl on startup which lasts for a second or two, then quiets down. Its perfectly quiet until about 1800-2000 RPMs, which is when it starts roar. I usually try to accelerate very slow (been driving my truck like a grandpa lately), and i don't hear the exhaust when accelerating as slow as I can. However, when I want to hear that beautiful sound, I rip the throttle open and it sounds pretty damn good.
All in all, this set up is perfect for me. When I wanna drive like a grandpa, my truck sounds like it. When I want to sound like a teenager showing off bad *** rig in front of the ladies, I can do that (as infrequently as that actually happens).

I just installed my Flowmaster American Thunder kit on my 04' Saturday, and it sounds good! Its got a good rumble to it, but not too extreme. The only thing i didn't like was the cheap exhaust clamps. I had 2 break from tightening them. Overall i'm really enjoying it so far!
