If your talking about a loud exhaust then the super 10s are the way to go!! I do have the 5.0 Ford f150 not the 5.4 but I have a Y system and deleted the resonator and replaced the piping with all 3.5 inch. Let me tell you...it's crazy loud!! It puts a silverado to shame!! I just love it!! I recommend super 10s not the 44s* imo*

I have dual 3" pipes, no cats and Flowmaster Super 10 mufflers and Thunder is LOUD!!! That's the way to go if you want sound. High flow cats if you want "legal" sound, but still loud.

I never heard of high flow cats!! Only off road headers with no cat and ones with it...where do they sell some? And for how much if you don't mind me asking.

There are a lot of companies that make high flow cats. Magnaflow and flowmaster are the first to come to mind. If you do end up going that route, be sure to get the correct one for your truck or you can possibly throw codes and fail emissions tests if your state requires them.

This. I had a super 44 on my '99 5.4 and just put a 10 on my '05 5.4. I love the 10 series and a coworker that has a 40 on his '04 is getting ready to switch to a 10.
