Default Factory remote start help!!

Hi I have a 2004 f150 lariat with remote start and the remote start hasn't worked for a while and I figure it's time to fix it. Once I hit the button it will click and the radio and a/c will come on but not the engine. I don't know much about these things so I could use a little help on how fix this. Thanks!

Try this. Hold your key next to the ignition and hit your button to try and start it. They side of the key needs to be real close to the ignition. Let me know if it starts.

Nope. Same thing. And then it stayed in that battery only mode with the radio on for about 15 seconds and wouldn't even let me start it with the key

Mine had a bad PATS bypass module. If I held my key next to the ignition and held my button it would fire right up. Are you getting any horn honks or the red led light on the dash- is it flashing rapidly?

The horn honks. And I think the light flashes. I called the dealer for a bypass module for the remote start and they had no idea what I was talking about

If the horn honks a certain amount of times and corresponds with the led light, its giving you a code. I'll find the page I had looked at when I was troubleshooting mine.. Let me know what the number of honks and flashes are.

BTW.. If you crawl up under your dash, there is a number on the bypass module. I can post a picture if you dont know what I am talking about. I have found them online for under 50 bucks.
