Quick update. Engine arrived and looks good, has all parts Fraser said it would. Turns out the truck needs a new main battery harness and intake manifold that was cracked and beat up. So waiting on those parts to come in now, but everything else is going smoothly. I wish I was able to get to it and take a look myself, but I fully trust the shop doing the work
is this normal to remove the front bodyand cab to swap motors?
Now that you've had the truck back for over a month, how is it running? Are you happy with the remanufactured engine you purchased? I'm looking for a remanufactured engine myself for my 2004 F150 with 179K miles on her, and have been reading your thread.
It is running perfectly. I am very happy with the Fraser engine. And the 5 yr warranty gives me a good piece of mind. Haven't had any problems with it at all. Going to change the oil soon to make sure everything looks good. But all is well so far for sure!
