Engine replacement suggestions
Thanks for the info, as it is very helpful. Did your mechanic recommend changing your hoses/belts with the new engine? Is your understanding of the warranty that you are covered for PARTS & LABOR for 5 years/unlimited miles, or is it just Parts? I appreciate the help, since I'm about to pull the trigger on a manufactured engine myself and there is nothing better than a recent customer to settle the nerves. Thanks.
He did replace some belts and hoses, but only the ones that looked too worn out. He was able to keep a lot, but there was some replacement involved. It's my understanding with the warranty that they will pay some labor cost in certain situations. Like most warranties there are steps that have to be taken to get that approved.

Glad you got it handled. I'm sure it will work out for you. The pick showing them pulling the cab off the frame, shows why I need a 2 post at home.......
I bought my 2012 in June with 207,000 miles. Cross my fingers it last years before needing any major replacement/repair. When I changed the oil, it looked immaculate inside the valve cover.
