Never understood why people use synthetic blend oil, if you want the added benefits of synthetic oil then shell out a couple extra bucks for the real thing. There is no regulation requiring synthetic blend oils to contain a specified amount of synthetic oil, so essentially you can purchase a quart of synthetic blend oil that is composed of 98% conventional oil with 2% synthetic blended in. It's nothing more than clever marketing by the oil companies to make extra money.

exactly. I remember reading that on the internet about that after running that synthetic blend for 8 months after I bought my truck, waste of money just run regular conventional
