Hi guys, I'm looking at trucks and I'm just wondering if there would be any mechanical differences between let's say a 2004 F-150 Supercrew FX4 with the 5.4, and a 2008 F-150 XLT Supercrew with the 5.4?

I realize the trim packages add quite a few differences, I'm just referring to mechanics.

The most important is the 08 spark plugs are revised to not break off in the head... Other then that I don't know of anything maybe someone else will chime in

 

Build date of 10/17/07 the heads changed... which solved the spark plug problem..besides some body and interior stuff... Mechanically should be same.
