I recently bought a hypertech energy max and im offshore so i haven't got home to try it but everyone says send it back and get the edge any feed back ? I have a 01 5.4 supercrew lariat 4x4

 

I just got mine today and hooked it up. I had less than a quarter tank of gas in the truck with 91 octane and used level 3 which is performance mode and holy crap you can feel the difference. Shifted kind of hard but alot quicker as well. I love how I can set it up to watch certain things go go on with my truck to. Hypertech I don't think k you can do that. Right now I love it! Still playing around with settings and all. Their is so much you can do.

 

Yea the hypertech is plug and play and from all I've read on the edge im very interested in sending back the hypertech max before i use it and pay the extra for the edge ! I seen it said you can set it up to watch all your important info and thts a big plus !! How much did you pay and where did you order it from ? I seen this one

 

I just have the evolution. I got mine off autoanything cheapest I found everywhere. I got mine for 296. Try it there.

 

I need some advise on what alerts I should set. The max amounts like tranny temp and stuff like that.

 

i just used the preset alerts I can ask my buddy he's a master tech at ford what the limits are for the truck and I'm in az and regular is 1.99 that's why I drive my truck more and give my jeep a rest untill the weekend so far I still have a half of tank of 89 to burn through so use the fuel while it's cheap lol

 

i went on Amazon and I think the pic used In the post was a cs which I think you don't have as many custom options I payed 300.00 plus shipping and the evo comes with a dash pod which I hate I went to best buy and bought a universal windshield mount looks way better good luck

 

I just put the dash pod on today and it's not bad. It blends in really good but we will see. That a great price for the CS model.

 

Cool but if you have a dash cover it doesn't really sit good that one reason i didn't like it but oh well
