After doing a minimal amount of reading, I ordered an Edge Evolution thinking they had a mode 3 for 87 octane. I'm not racing, and I only wanted a mode for better fuel economy on a fully stock 2006 F150 Lariat.

After doing more reading I'm a bit confused...
It seems I would need to upgrade the CAI before using the Edge...
It also looks like the Edge includes only the 3 canned settings with no immediate option for custom settings...
It also looks like I could send in my Edge and have it upgraded to a Gryphon for about $25...then another $60 for a custom setup.

I also see that some are using mode 2 "Towing" to get the better fuel economy with 87 octane. Would that be my best bet?

Edge should have an "economy" setting for 87 octane for us old geezers.
(Maybe that's mode 2 ????)

BTW, I only tow occasionally...
