Edge programmer question
"The AFE is one of the ones that leans it out pretty hard...but with the 06 its desgined to keep giving the truck as much timing as it can handle..so its not that big of a deal. Not suggested you run level 3 though. And the damage from running lean is on the inside. Your exhaust valve will be nice and white, your CATS will burn out earlier, etc. It will also be the difference on getting 150-200k out of the engine or 50-100."
sin why is it not good to run level 3? ive been on level 3 for some time now! pluss in the custom tune section i upped the timing asmuch as the manual reccomended with the 93 octane! but i have heard the reccomended level is in level 2 which is tow/haul mode

And people when you alter options on a Canned tuned it is still a canned tune, just altered "slightly" by you. Custom tunes have hundreds of vaiables to them.
i emailed PHP for pricing there site says 30 bucks for a custom tune at the time of purchase, but i didn't see or missed the cost if i sent my evo in. i heard 60 a tune.. troyer has the price that includes the tunes with the purchase of a SCT

And Troyer is pricey...I paid over 100 bucks for 1 tune. They wanted me to buy more for just a few bucks more but didnt want them. Call their sales people http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...link=contactus they will answer you q's. They are the best when it comes to these trucks.

i did find the PHP info in there FAQ section.. i didnt see that page you linked..
i also heard that troyer was reall slow with getting tunes out..dont know it theres any truth to that
also i seen it stated the some functions from the gryphon wont work with the older version evos.. i know my evo needed the lightning softwear when i updated it 2 weeks ago and wasnt compatable with the fusion.. so what may not work...anyone know?

As for what will work with it the Gryphon or not I don't know. Bill and Corey have been so slammed they are getting backlogged. Corey had surgery a little bit ago and they are trying to get caught up. Gotta try calling when they are not on tuning lockdown. Check the www for those days.
I guess i will have to figure out how long i want to wait.. the other tuner i was going to used is out doing live tuning and on vacation for the rest of the month. he was able to just send me the emails with the tunes and i was able to load them in my other evo.
