I have a Non Heritage 2004 and use it with no problems. The only thing I can think of is that you can only marry an Edge tuner 5 times before it gets permently locked out and no good. Is this Edge new to you? Do you know how many times its been married to other vehicles?

i have not heard of this before. Do you know when this ( limit of 5 ) started and/or if it applies to all edge products/models ?

The guy i bought it from supposedly never used it but I think it has been used. I don't think it has been married to any other F150's

I read a lot of reviews and it seems like this particular edge evolution does not have a 5 marriage limit like a lot of the other tuners do. I've read through the 44 page instruction manual and it says nothing about a marriage limit either. Hope this helps. Did you get any help from Edge Cust Svc?

I wish you luck, I’d recommend trying calling a few different times to try to get different reps and try to get a specific reason that this unit isn’t working for you. If you get that, please post up as I think it might help others.
I wouldn’t know they won’t answer me when I call. I bought the handheld tuner from them and my shifting is messed up the truck refuses to let me into overdrive if I’m under 47 mph and if it’s in overdrive and I go under 47 it pops out into 2nd or 3rd gear. And there was supposed to be an economy tune and there isn’t one. Would never buy from them again

Last time I had dealings with edge was in 2009ish I had one on my 05 f150 and the battery got really low it corrupted the edge controller and the truck wouldnt start even after putting in a new battery. Edge was local to me so I took my unit and ecu over there.
They couldn't figure it out, but they did foot the bill for me to have it towed to the ford dealer and repaired.
The dealer was able to reflash the ecu or something and get me back on the road.
Sounds like the service has gone downhill since then!

Looks like edge was bought/sold a couple times. I think it was the sale in 2018 that (IMO) ended their previous good customer service/experience:
