Default Drivers side window switch

My drivers side window switch works sometimes and sometimes it don't. It always rolls down on the first push but to roll it up it takes several back and forth rocks to get it to engage. I realize I am going to have to replace the switch sometime soon but for now, I tried this. I purchased a can of electronic parts cleaner ($5) and removed the panel and cleaned thoroughly. It works now! Sure it won't last long, but hopefully long enough for me to replace my rims first!!! PS: anyone know the part # of that switch for future reference?

Oh almost forgot to ask. I'm going to install the switch this weekend. Did that cover on the arm rest just pop off or did you have to unscrew something? I haven't looked but I dont think there are screws to take out.

I have this exact same problem. I'll be trying to clean the switches too. Hopefully that's all it is.

The front panel should just pop off on the arm rest.

Part is 56.99 at Autozone. The brand is Duralast but it's actually the Ford OEM part. I bought one about a month ago, they just scratched the Ford emblem off the bottom. Easy repair.

Yes, it just pops up. Gently pry up on the edge and it should come right up.

*********UPDATE********* the cleaning DID NOT work! Got in truck to go to Sonic and get a Route 44 rolled down window ordered and then tried to roll back up, NOTHING! After sending several well timed curse words thru the sonic speaker system and getting my Route 44- I drive straight to AutoZone an purchased the replacement part for $56.99 (OEM from Ford is $170) and after a quick two minute install=PERFECTION! Screw the band aid fix of cleaning and go ahead and get the replacement!
