Default does a fuel catalyst really work???

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with such a product? Though i've somewhat accepted my 10-12 mpg's, if there's something that can actually show noticeable increases i'll give it a try. For $200 and a 2-4mpg increase it would take long to pay it off. On the flip side $200 is allot to spend on a scam.

I have a 91 octane program in my '06 5.4 right now along with a cold air intake, and it runs well however has not improved or decreased my mileage.

Thanks.

I apologize in advance if this there has already been a thread on this topic.

Ive seen a few threads that go into more detail about this topic elsewhere on the net, but in reality all you have to do to make this decision is google "fitch fuel catalyst review" and you'll have your answer. Furthermore even if the catalyst did work, the damn this is so short and the fuel moves thru it faster than it would actually have time to make a chemical change to the fuel. Check that out and see what you think after you've read the reviews lol. You'll be surprised.

Thanks for the replies. I asked my friend about it, to which he replied " If it worked, don't you think the manufacturers would use them?". I guess I should have listened to him.

Are you lifted? 10-12 mpg is low.

I decided to be a Ginniea pig for the Fitch Catalyst on my Magnum. Pretty much decided before I bought it that it wan't going to work. I was correct. Saw no increase in MPG at all.

Do you have any idea how many snakes it takes to GET that oil?! That's why it costs so much.

No, my trucks not lifted at all with stock 20's on it. I've monitored my fuel mileage since I purchased it by topping up the tank and doing the calculations from the miles I got. The highest i've ever got is a recent trip down to Florida where I got 18mpg's with my lowest during winter months of 10. Don't think there's any mechanical issues, running mint right now.

I could see getting that low in the winter in city traffic, 18 high on the interstate is pretty standard.

Default Fuel milage

My 2003 4x4 w/4 door, short box was getting between 8 & 11 mpg. I quit going to about 2-3 stations to fill up. Once I quit, my truck started getting 12mpg. Here in MI. station owners have been known to mix the cheaper E85 with their regular. I believe that's what the problem was.
I have the Triton V8 5.4L. I think once I get rid of the over sized tires, I can get 15, 15+. They suck that bad.
As far as that fuel gadget goes, I also doubt there is enough time for any change to take place. If anything, a programer to change shift points since anything below overdrive pushes the RPM's to 2K, +, then I'm filling up every other gas station. Also, Mid-Grade gas pushed it up a bit so now I can get 14+,MPG if part of my mileage is expressway driving @ 62MPH. [I always drive like that, LOL].
