does a fuel catalyst really work???
My 2003 4x4 w/4 door, short box was getting between 8 & 11 mpg. I quit going to about 2-3 stations to fill up. Once I quit, my truck started getting 12mpg. Here in MI. station owners have been known to mix the cheaper E85 with their regular. I believe that's what the problem was.
I have the Triton V8 5.4L. I think once I get rid of the over sized tires, I can get 15, 15+. They suck that bad.
As far as that fuel gadget goes, I also doubt there is enough time for any change to take place. If anything, a programer to change shift points since anything below overdrive pushes the RPM's to 2K, +, then I'm filling up every other gas station. Also, Mid-Grade gas pushed it up a bit so now I can get 14+,MPG if part of my mileage is expressway driving @ 62MPH. [I always drive like that, LOL].
