I have the Triton V8 5.4L. I think once I get rid of the over sized tires, I can get 15, 15+. They suck that bad.
As far as that fuel gadget goes, I also doubt there is enough time for any change to take place. If anything, a programer to change shift points since anything below overdrive pushes the RPM's to 2K, +, then I'm filling up every other gas station. Also, Mid-Grade gas pushed it up a bit so now I can get 14+,MPG if part of my mileage is expressway driving @ 62MPH. [I always drive like that, LOL].
Well, back to 10.446 MPG. I don't know why but running LT285/70R17's has got to be the problem. They need to be replaced so I'll quote this post once I have them on & ran a tank or 2. Maybe then I'll be happy....
