Did the GOTTS Mod!
After reading several threads went ahead and did it. And wow , what a difference. The exhaust has a litle bit deeper bite to it and truck idles and runs at lower RPMs. Hopefully next time I fill it up theres a little bit of improvement on the MPG's.
Heres my truck! And a picture of the GOTTs Mod!

I saw no mpg improvement with this mod. If there was I wouldnt know it.
You dont have to take the accordion part of the intake off just the last part that fits in the fender.
If you cut a piece of 3" PVC the length from where Ford#1fan (see his pic) has the Fernco connected to the intake housing this will slip into the accordion section and bottom out inside (you'll have about 3" or so of pvc pipe in the accordion section). A Fernco is not needed just the PVC pipe.
To get the pvc pipe to fit in the fender you'll need to file, grind, belt sand the end to the diameter of the fender hole enough to snug-fit it in the fender so it doesnt rattle.
