Its problems that brought us here In the first place. Needing to look for advice or what not.
now just by doing a little reading we can be prepared for these little things and get them fixed before its a real problem.

I got 175k on my truck. Original transmission and engine. Besides fluids and other maintenance the knly big things I have done are brakes, rotors and bearings, rear axle bearings and seals, battery and alternator, and spark plugs (none broke).

Been a damn good truck to me.

That's awesome James. My truck has also been super awesome...my truck is a pavement princess though so it's really really been taken care of.

That'd be my guess as well. I think a lot of people come here to find fixes to their truck issues.

I have to admit, this forum is a god send when you are having an issue, no matter how small. The reality is every truck breaks down, no matter who makes it, it is nice to have this many nice and knowledgeable people to turn to. I've had my truck got 6 years and 50k miles and I haven't had any real problems. I couldn't be happier with my Ford.

actually I came here because I did a google search for "custom console enclosure 04 f150" and "04 f150 leveling kit" and f150forum popped up like 8 hits in a row. Looking around I didn't even notice the "issue" threads until I actually thought I was having one and I find them far more positive in addressing preventative maintenance to avoid those "horror stories".

Not to mention a lot of these trucks are up to 10 years old and plenty are over 100k,150k,200+k miles so no matter what vehicle you have with this age and mileage things will wear eventually! But regardless, I'd much rather be depressed in an F150 than a Silverado though

The one 'issue' I see all the time is the spark plugs. Its really not all that bad. Sure its not cheap at $408 but they only need replacing about every 100k so since mine were replaced at 96k I don't know if I'll ever have to replace them again.
