I don't doubt that a bit. I'm sure a lot come for the mods too.

I work for a large bank and our customer service department is always told on average a person will tell 10 people about a bad experience where a person will maybe tell one person about a good one.

OP,
If it makes you feel better, my truck hasn't had a single issue in the past 60K miles, just went over 100K. The only problem the truck ever had was easy to fix...the 4x4 solenoid/IWEs.

Once. I have to put air in my tires every 6 months. My mechanic accused me of power-washing my engine because it was too clean. I drive for 10 hours straight because my drivers seat is so @#%$! comfortable. The stupid truck thrives on 87 octane when every respectable luxury car needs 93. I can only seat 5 basketball players with legroom to spare when a Prius can seat.... Well, maybe that's not a good one. Last but not least, I can only fit one Prius in the truck bed.
                  very well said sir!

My success story: 04 lariat 4x4 with 299,840 trouble free miles. Looking forward to hitting that 300,000k mark. Changed my spark plugs twice none broke ever. Reliability has been badass.

Just turned over 6k on my 13 XLT SCrew with the 5.0. The only thing I can think of to complain about it is the payment and insurance. Lol. I've driven different trucks before, but this one has to be the nicest.....Plus it fits all the family including the dog. I don't wash and wax it, but I try to keep it as clean as possible with 3 kids in the back. Haha. Going to start doing some of the cheap mods until I can convince the wife that it NEEDS a procharger. LMAO.

I've only owned my 08 for two years, but i can say that i don't regret buying it for a second! Also, kudos to everyone that helps troubleshoot issues that we come across.

I don't find it depressing. All vehicles have issues of some sort.
I enjoy the sharing here not only on problem solving but also for the mods and improvements that are done.
Some of the mods just make a good truck better and more fun to drive and own.
Ford has been my favorite throughout the years. Not likely to change to another vehicle in this lifetime.
