just wondering if these two caps are interchangeable? I have the first ones and they are fugly, would like to switch them out with the second ones if that is possible.

 

If the lug patterns match up and the dimensions are the same..... I would think it is safe to say yes.

I don't actually have them yet, I was wanting to make sure they would fit before I bought them. I guess I will just go to the local boneyard and try one out first.

 

I was wondering the same thing. I have the first type of caps, but they're looking rough.

If yours are in good condition and you end up taking them off, I'll buy them off you for the right price.

 

I've got both sets ill try to check for you. If I'm remembering correctly they are slightly different. I think the second set is "shallower" than the first. Meaning the tabs dont go as deep to grab the lugs. When i get out of work ill try to do some measurements.

 

I've got the first ones but the ford emblem is silver to match

 

The set on the right are designed to seat "flush" in the wheel when snapped in. I have these with the rims they are designed to work with. The center of the rim has a groove that the center caps fit into.

I'm thinking the ones on the right may not work on rims they were not originally for. Interested in the results.
