I've never heard of rubber corroding, and most, if not all of the vacuum fittings on my 07 are plastic. A vacuum gauge will tell you a lot about how your motor is running, and if you have a leak. Buying a Haynes manual will tell you what to look for. $25 at part source.

If all your lines are plastic why are you talking to me about rubber?

Id def check like i said before buddy had one doesn't hurt either if you don't now you can elemiate that from the list. I agree a gage will work great. If they have one with long enough hose to rout into the cab to be able to read a difference in dynamic or static

Cats only cost about $150 each or so installed at your local muffler shop. What's the big deal? Keep your truck in the best operating condition and just man up and fix it. Problem solved.

Oh wow after doing research I found way cheaper cats. Why are ford cats 1000 a piece and magna flows are 75? Are they ****ty? And does a cat fitting NEED to be welded. Or do you think the pressure is low enough for bolt on splices
