I guess a better question is where is this fouled vacuum line.
I did use search and most posts are people arguing about cat removal lol. But it probably is this vacuum leak not just the cats that I should worry about

The cats have an extended warranty, check into yours and see if it's covered; you may get them replaced under warranty.

Here we go again with someone that want's to remove cats....can't sell a vehicle without the cats installed. A federal law that overides any existing/non existing local or state law. Up to a $30,000.00 fine if caught selling a vehicle without them.

Even though we don't have emissions testing in Alberta, there is still federal law that says you have to have cats, albeit in Alberta the only time they'd check is on an out-of-province inspection or when the car is re-sold by a dealer. They could come back on you when you trade it in. Get some magnaflow hi-flow cats and cover your ***. I think they're $89 at partsource in Calgary.

The engine can run with no cats but it's not recommended. Not only because of the legal issues, but tuning issues also. Anytime you change the flow past the front O2's a/f ratios can be affected. First get another opinion to confirm it is the cats and the misfire isn't causing the symptoms. You can check for vacuum leaks with a smoke test or the old ether method. IMO get some 94106 Magnaflows if the cats come up bad and you're no under warranty. It will run correctly, be legal, and sound better.

Awesome advice thanks. Ill check the vacuum and possibly a bad coil. Ive heard of a specific vacuum line that corrodes at a flex section of the hose. Anyone else hear of that
