Default Cam or s/c

Ok, a cammed engine sounds so good to me but so does the whine of a supercharger. I'm planning on doing this in a couple months. But stuck in between I've done research but there's not much info on camming the 5.4. All I get is the crappy cam phaser problems. Tired of reading that crap. But here's what I don't want the trans screwing up or my motor detonating. What will work best for a stock motor and tranny? What will I need to change ? As in fuel injectors, and etc. Thanks. My truck as you guys know is a 07 fx2 and it's a street queen, looks good just needs more power to back that look up

Just start looking around for random supercharging talk threads. You will find him before you know it. Think he made a thread that talked about a 12.9 quarter mile he ran a little bit ago.

for sure go with the s/c. I used to have a lightning and absolutely loved it. And in my opinion there is less work when it comes to installation. You can also change the amount of power you want by just changing pulleys

I'm here lol. The 5.4 dosen't respond the way you would think to cams. $2000 for cams, springs, flash tool, tune, and injectors for 30hp. The stock motor can handle 12psi with the proper tune and suppporting mods (exhaust, fuel, etc) Thats over 600hp. A proper tune meaning one from Troyer or JDM not the local Mustang 'tooner'. These guys also understand the tuning needs of the transmissions and can make them last. 8psi is very safe and with a tune can get you 400rwhp with a stock exhaust. Hope this helps.

What's wrong with a Supercharged daily driver? Dumb comment seeing as how every car manufacture has produced or is producing a Supercharged vehicle. There's absolutely nothing wrong with having one as a daily driver. Stuff happens to every car and truck everyday.
