Where would I tap into for power if I go with powered ones vs battery operated? What about the trailer power source?

Ya they will work, you will half to go through the hole on the inside of the bed. The instructions have you take out the lail lights and run the wires down to the bottom of the bed behind the tail lights.

No I dont, they may be able to provide some to you at 4zproducts.com. the little hole inside the bed, under the stake pocket. You go in there and come out where the wiring for the tail lights, the area behind the tail lights. I have a drop in bed liner and just ran the wires on the side of it.

I have the Recon Bed lights. I picked them up for 100.00 on amazon.com. They are wonderful. They are waterproof. I spray my bed out all the time. the only issue that i have is with the cable ties that stick to the underside of the bedrail. I am just putting alittle silicone on them and sticking them. They are bright as ever, and I am able to see everything in the bed. I wired mine to a switch so that they could be turned on anytime. I am a volunteer firefighter and I got tired of searching for my gear when we have a night call. I can leave them on for a lengthy time and the truck still starts right up. I would suggest you get this set, it is well worth it. I am actually going to get another set for my Xterra for some rock lights.

check these out. I'm going to order the 2 pack. They have magnets and they rotate. I'm going to put one on each side of my box at the back. Then point them towards the front, when you need them put the gate down hit the button and light up the whole box. $12.99us for 2 is a good deal.
