Talking Basic Worhwhile Mods

O.k....I just got my 5.4 about a week ago and LOVE IT. It currently has a flow and some duals from the muffler back. This thing runs like a champ....

Question is, what basic mods do you guys recommend that I'll get the most bang for my buck without going overboard?

Thanks...!!

Welcome to the site!!

As ACW said go with the AF1 intake but remember that if you get the 3.5 inch intake tube that you will HAVE to get a tune because it will run too lean/rich so be sure to get the 3" tube.

I concur on the AF1 and an Xcal II with Troyer custom tuning. Wakes up these trucks and throttle response is unimaginable.

Take the flow daddies off and install Magnaflow mufflers. Gut the cats. Install a supercharger.. new cams...bore and stroke the engine... The possibilities for more HP is endless... Other than that just do what they said.

I read up on the site.....thanks for the link!!!

I wonder if that's the one with the 3 or 3.5" pipe. I believe someone told me that if I went 3.5" that I would have to buy a tune as well.

This Troyer bunch has alot of stuff!!!

Just call them up and tell them exactly which one you want. I have the 3" tube on mine even though I have the Troyer custom tuning. I went with the 3" tube so when I return the truck to stock for trips to the dealership I can still leave the AF1 on there with no issues.
