Default auxiliary panel

SO i was in my bosses f250 the other day and i noticed he had a factory aux panel with switches and stuff. It got me thinking that i could rly use one when i install my off road lights and i have some LED's in the truck. Has anyone installed and Aux panel in their f150? if so where is the best place and how is it all wired?
thanks

If you're wanting something like this in your 150 you are likely better off trying to add your own switches to the dash (anywhere of your liking). The reason you likely couldn't retrofit it is that there are SO MANY connection on the backs of these things that WILL NOT correspond with the 150 OEM wiring harness. Will you have problems doing this? I have no idea, but more than likely yes. If you put on in it may still function like switches, but they may not light up, function at all, or any other number of issues may arise because it wasn't designed to be in an F150.

Try it. Do a write up and let us know. Cant really do any harm if you know what you're doing... Just make sure than you don't do anything that you cant reverse later on if you decide to. Personal opinion, I wouldnt try to make it work. Just add a switch to the dash or wherever you want it, 2 little wires are pretty damn easy to hide just about anywhere. Use a relay and you can use very thin wire making it even easier to and from the switch.

Best of luck! Good idea too! Let's see if other chime in.

That looks like it goes in the spot where the 12V outlet is on my 04 F150 Dash. You could just put it in and run your own wires to and from it for what you are trying to power. The picture is to small for my eyes. any way you could get it bigger so you can tell what it says on all of the switchs and the screen?

They have other stuff. I had red lights and wig wags in my old truck for the Fire Dept. and used one of these with 6 switches. Works well.

Hey I like those. Going to order one in the morning. Do you happen to remember or know how you had it wired?

I just ran the positive to the head unit positive (had aftermarket head unit). Use a relay if you're going straight to the battery though.

it looks like you could pull out the double din radio that came with the truck, and if you made your own dash kit/modified one, you could stack the single din head unit and the switch panel on top of eachother.
