2005 f150 xlt 5.4l auto headights no longer turn on at night. What causes and how to fix? Someone said the little black bubble on dash next to windshield is sensor and sometimes gets dirty from cleaning dash but mines been cleaned and still nothing.

I have the somewhat the same issue, except when the switch is set to auto, my headlights are always on. Ford recommended checking fuses

F36 is actually for the trailer stop and turn signal. Would driving running lights (DRL) be a cause for this? It makes sence auto lights and DRL kinda same thing right?
