Default All interior lights to blue process

Just started the whole process, this is the driver door window controll. My first time sodering so took me 2hrs just to do these 4! And was a pain figuring out wich side was + and -. Kinda found a pattern then it changed! but it looks sweet! Hope to finish all the door switches up this weekend. And on the first picture the red arrows point to where on my new LED's i got off ebay had the little green marks faced. Like they were only on one side. This is just the way they were on mine. The blue is a little brighter than stock but it looks sooooooo much better i love it. And i bought 50 of em so when im done and i have extra anyone who wants em can have em for free jsut pay shipping.

my phone sucks, the blue really is a dark blue like the reflection off the door handle below.

No i just un sodered the LED's that were there and replaced them with 0805 SMT's i got off ebay those things are TINY! delt with no wires just put them right onto the circut board. What made it take so long was party the soder gun i was using was old and the tip wouldnt get that hot so was making things difficult. If i were to do it again it prob would only take me 45min cuz i know how it works now! And had a good gun, im picking a new one up this weekend. Il take some pictures of the process to give yal a better idea, and i mean those 0805 LEDs are FREAKIN SMALL!!!!!! you have no idea

Yea here http://cgi.ebay.com/50-PCS-0805-SMT-SMD-200-250-mcd-BLUE-LED-Free-Ship_W0QQitemZ320163880493QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_De faultDomain_0?hash=item320163880493&_trksid=p3286. m20.l1116. PLCC-2 from ozium.com i forget how many i ordered i think 45, then SMT #74s (superbrightleds.com) they are difficult to find on there. for the dash i got like 8 of those, but i have not received those in the mail yet. And that link took a whole month for the LEDs to get to me! Im gonna try to do a very detailed write up on the process, i have a FX4 cluster coming my way also so i gotta wait on that to get here.

I just got done soldering an alarm in my truck. A tip I found out that might help trev is to keep putting solder on the gun. Not too much but enough to make it look wet. If the gun is dry it is not as effective and you will sit there with the tip on the solder for a really long time before something happens. The theory behind it is that the tip of the gun cannot transfer heat fast enough to the cold solder to melt it. If there is already some solder on the gun it will transfer heat MUCH quicker and will take much less time. Good luck! And thanks for the pics and ideas. I think I might try this when I get some free time.
