Default Adding Park Assist

After driving my moms Cadillac that has backup sensor and realizing how usefull they are i decided that i wanted to add them to my truck. I have come pretty close some times to tapping my rear bumper against things. Will my 2008 XLT have the wiring already their or will i have to wire it myself? and how much would it be to add this feature? I've searched this forum and others but found nothing.

I'm no help to answering ur questions but maybe u can find away to have it installed because man I love it on mine. I love it, and when I get in my work truck or something I catch myself waiting on the "beep" telling me I'm close because I'm use to my truck. It's a very useful feature for me anyways.

Why not just go with a regular back up camera?

No sensors or warnings or beeps; but you can see when you're gonna hit somethng or not...........

Then it was a cheapo camera..............I spent the extra to get the one that was triple sealed. No fogging up. As for seeing at night.......I haven't had a problem?

So you're looking for a new (or used?) factory system to install as an aftermarket part?

Seeing as how the XLT is the base F150, I doubt it's going to have the wiring already installed. Did any of the 08's even have this type of system as an option? I 'believe' the backup camera's may have been a factory option, but I did they have parking assist?

This is the best I could find:

That link is exactly what I'm looking for its even for a 08 f150, and the sensors was a option on the XLT's.

And btw XLT aint base theres XL and STX below

Thanks sargeek

No prob.

I swear I thought the XLT was the base (above the plain white 'work' trucks), my bad.

EDIT
Just looked it up; when it comes to the Screw's, I was right. It's only with the Scab's and regular cabs that you get both the XL and STX models below the XLT. (I've always considered the XL's the 'working' trucks you always see piled up behind the dealership....and they're always white! lol)

I apologize for stepping on any toes.......
