With the trouble Ive been having with my factory system Id say to go with something aftermarket.

The sensors alone are $130+ each and there's 4 of them. Theres also something thats connected to the transmission and then the switch panel and whatever else is in the dash.

Not factory wired in the base XL/XLT/STX models. It would be a pain to add factory wiring with the backup sensors included. I'd go with a kit; there are great ones out there. Just remember that you "get what you pay for", so don't go cheap because of the price.

And I'll certainly agree on the fogging camera due to cheapness. I bought two cheap ones; both fogged. Finally bought one for $100.00 (liciense plate ring/camera). Have had it for two years now with no fogging. And the panaramic view allows me to see a good view for backing up.

EDIT
Just looked it up; when it comes to the Screw's, I was right. It's only with the Scab's and regular cabs that you get both the XL and STX models below the XLT. (I've always considered the XL's the 'working' trucks you always see piled up behind the dealership....and they're always white! lol)

I apologize for stepping on any toes.......
I have a XL screw and it is base. They make all cab configurations in XL. Just check out fords website.

I just had a backup sensor added to my 2011 screw, it is a precision park p5000. It ended up being around $300 installed.
