Yep your right there's no nut it dosent even have the thread to screw it on like it was tightened to hard or it rusted away

Ya you need a new cv shaft! Nut is tightened to only like 20 ft lbs or so! Push the cv all the way in to see if the threads show! Probably over tightened the nut and it was broke not blaming you but that's a common issue that or it not being installed or too lose

And I've tried pushing it in no threads

Well at a aftermarket vender such as napa it is like around $100 with out the core price! OEM ford is probably $400 or more like $500! I work at the dealer as a master driveline tech! I put a napa lifetime cv in! It's like 1/3 of a cv shaft at my discount! Would rather replace it a few times then spending $400 on a shaft! Napa or O'Reilly auto carry Cardone OEM spec shafts! Good bang for the buck but not ford! Just letting you know the facts! OEM if you really want it and it's the best you can get but aftermarket is sounding good for the price
