Default 4wd question

Maybe some of you guys can answer this for me. I've got an 06 f150 XLT Xcab. How common is manual 4wd (floor shift). Every truck I've seen of that style has been electronic.

When I was shopping around before I bought this one, just about every one had electronic engage. I opted to get the manual. Figured there would be less to go wrong.

I have never seen an XLT with one either but from what I understand the floor shift is just a different style electronic shifter. It still electronically shifts the transfer case in 4x4.....(correct me if I am wrong)

Come to think of it, you may be right. When changing tranny fluid one day, never seen any cables or linkages on transfer case.

I test drove a 2005, or 2006, can't remember, f150 xlt supercab and the 4wd shifter was on the floor.

I like floor shifts. Are your hubs fully auto? Or can you lock them manually?
