Default 2wd 4wd difference

Can somebody tell me what the difference is in the front suspension between 2wd and 4wd since a 4wd is higher?

Lots of searchable threads with the info.

In the front, the coilovers are a little taller and have a slightly longer spindle give about an inch or so in hight.

The rear comes with either a 1 5/8" block or a 2" block depending on if it's early or later in the generation.

04-05 trucks have more rake than 06-08 trucks.

Is it possible to use the 4wd spindles on my 2wd to get that extra inch lift?

You could get that with a simple leveling spacer or adjustable struts... why change spindles.

X2 here. you can buy level spaces for under 100 bucks, then you just out the cost for an alignment and the labor to put it altogether.

I have 2.5 inch spacers on my 2wd. But I want to go as high as a 4wd without getting too great angles on my uca's.

Well then your next step would be a suspension lift. Leveled out you should be pretty close to stock 4x4 height. Stock 4x4 spindles (if it would even work) will not change your ride height.

But the front height of a 2.5inch levelled 4wd is higher than that of a levelled 2wd.
That's the height I want.
A 6 inch lift is too much for me and 4 inch doesn't exist.
I can get the parts from a donor car, so it's not expensive.

What I'm trying to tell you is 4x4 components will not work on a 2WD truck. Your only options at this point is a lift of some kind, order 2WD drop spindles, buy a 4x4 truck.

Body lifts are cheap and come in 2-3 inches.
