Default Windshield washer button

Hey guys,

I'm having trouble with the washer button on the 2012 Raptor. Most of the time it doesn't work, sometimes it does. I think it's the button on the stalk, but I haven't found a way to disassemble it.
I don't have access to dealer support.

Can anyone shed some light on this ? I know it's a problem, because there are many references on the net, but I can't find any answers.

Thanks,

Pete

I found this at Tasca

Out isn't specific to the raptor but a phone call could straighten that out. It's cheaper to replace it than to fix it.

You might considern Fedex. Expensive, but would help getting through customs.

I've ordered a new stalk, US parts are cheap, even considering the shipping. Now if I could only find some directions on installing it.

look for multi function switch replacement

from here
http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/13...placement.html

Disregard - Looked things over, ordered switch from O'reilly Auto Parts and they had it at my door this morning. Took 20 minutes this afternoon to pull all the plastic away, turn the steering wheel 90 degrees to the left, Disconnect battery, removed the pedal adjustment switch, removed two #10 torx screws holding unit in, slide assembly to the left, and
installed the new multifunction switch in reverse order.

Thanks. I'll see what I can see. Still need to find a workshop manual though. Have to do everything myself.

Just remove the shroud and replace the switch assembly, probably a good idea if you disconnect the battery. Easy job, about as difficult as changing your own oil.

Did you verify that the switch is the problem? The pump motor my be binding up. I had it happen on a vehicle years ago. Something inside the motor, from manufacturing, caused the armature to bind up. You want to make sure because electrical parts are usually non-return items.
