Default why is the bed offset?

It took me near two months to notice this. On the driver side the bed is about one inch from being flush with the side of the cab. On the passenger side it is flush with the cab.

I see Ford trucks all day long in the parking lot of the liquor store I work at. Some have a bed that sits as mine. Some are flush on both sides.

what is the reason for this?

Default mine is opposite

flush on the drivers side and and inch off on the passenger side. I was thinking I should be able to loosen all the bed mount bolts and work it over a half inch.

Anyone know of a reason not to try this?

It was probably built on Friday or Monday.

I didn't notice that but I did notice my right rear tire sticking out 1.5 inches on right than on left. Took it in and they realigned bed as well as diff.

I also noticed you can't get a pair of rubber boots to fit in between the cab and the bed.

Ask the dealer to adjust it or loosen the bolts and adjust it yourself its a easy fix

IIRC my truck was built on a Friday,LOL.

I guess I just don't understand why it is not a flush fit on both sides, seems like poor engineering.

I doubt I will worry about it anymore. It nagged at me when I first noticed it but since seeing other trucks looking the same way it is not eating at me anymore. I also have concern that if the dealer messes with it they will just screw something else up. There is a bed liner in it too so I assume that would need to come out to fix it.

Has anyone looked in the mirror and noticed they aren't perfect either?
