Last year while looking through a lot of new 2012 Rams I saw that nearly all the trucks had boxes noticeably offset from the cab on one side or the other. I guess that isn't part of quality control even though it is apparently an easy adjustment.

Mine wasn't lined up either... tried to loosen the bolts and adjust it but the brackets have locating pins into the frame so the adjustment is very little. But it is closer.

Thanks. One more thing to add to checklist when buying.

One would think that after spending 30, 40, 50K on a truck, you shouldn't have to get your tools out & worry with lining up the bed!! That's just crazy.

I learned early on not to do that. One time I put a pair between my cab and bed, drove around all day (100 miles or so) went to go grab the boots and that's when I noticed the boots had rubbed off a little paint on the cab and bed. That was on my old F150

Some places actually take those bolts out and then replace after spraying the liner.

^^^Yep, every one of my spray in liners they removed the bolts...I think I would be pissed if the didn't, that would seem like a half*****ed job. I've had Rhino's and Line-x---both installers are phenomenal. Also looked into perma-tech*sp and that was the crappiest stuff ever.
