Also my reason for reverse flood lights is the same as yours Danny. We go camping and often times are setting up in the middle of the night. Thus I threw switches into the cab to control both the front and the rear mounted LEDs so I don't have to rely on a flashlight, or risk killing my battery by using the headlights.

Yup, I'm too uncoordinated to hold a flash light in one hand and assemble a tent too. ha
And headlights used to work fine for this but my stuff was always in the back of the truck. So parking the truck aimed at the camp site and walking around in the dark to unload the bed was just a pain.
Now I back in and turn on my rear floods and my LED bed lights and I can see what I am unloading and where I am unloading it to.
With an LED light bar on the front and the LED floods in the back I rarely find myself in situation where I don't have plenty of low amperage bright light without needing the headlights and truck running.

Used Diode Dynamics and upgraded my reverse lights on level...absolutely made a difference in the back up cam....also did my fogs.

I'm in the same boat. I ordered the cubes about a month ago, but I just haven't dedicated the time (or courage) to cut the bumper yet.

The thing that I really want to do before I add cubes is build myself a nice little auxiliary fuse box cause I know the reverse cubes are only the start of all the lights and accessories I want to put on my truck lol

It was fine to juggle a flash light while trying to setup a tent and pull everything out of the bed when I was younger. But now I have a family to deal with and just wanted to make it easier.

I took the time to install bed lights in my last truck and loved the results! Best mod I ever did to that truck! So when I went to install the reverse lights on this one, I ran an extra switch from the cab to the tail lights. Now when the weather becomes more stable, I will be able to finish installing the actual lights to illuminate the bed.

You can do it! I was sweating bullets when I was cutting into my bumper, but the lights cover the cuts, so even if you run a little wide or are not quite straight, the outside of the light should cover it all up.

These things come in handy. Run two wires from battery (positive and negative) and your set.

That's actually exactly what I was thinking about buying. Just haven't done a lot of research yet and want to make sure this does exactly what I want. Like for instance is this only hot with the truck running? Is there a way to wire a few of the terminals to be hot only when the truck is running? I got big plans man, big plans!!

As it is running straight off the battery, I do believe it would be live 100% of the time. I ran my lights straight off the batter with a simple inline fuse, and they work with the engine on or off.
