What are you using for reverse lights?
See, this is kind of confusing to me. You say the iJDMtoys were brighter, but in a previous post you favored the JDM Astar. Is this specifically because of the customer care?
When I had written that post, I only had one pair of the JDMastar's, and since the cargo and backup lights share the same base, it was easier to see the difference and take pictures of the cargo light. A few days later, more came in the mail and that's when I tried them in the reverse lights. The reflectors and size of the lamp housings really do make a difference.
So, to clarify, despite the customer service issue, I do prefer the iJDMtoy for reverse, and the JDMastar for cargo's. Sorry if I caused any confusion.
Apologies, I suppose I jumped the gun in that post. Sorry about that, I know this is all getting confusing (especially with "JDM" being in both brand names! What's up with that?)

The brightest ones I've tested for the interior are these ones:

If you do the front map lights, take out the metal reflector for easier access to the original bulbs, I couldn't get them out otherwise and didn't want to risk breaking the glass on the originals. Then put the metal reflector back in place before installing the replacements.
It's a pretty flimsy piece of metal, so be careful with it.
Crap.
I just stumbled upon these.
They aren't eligible for Amazon Prime, so 7-10 days until I get 'em and report back. [Edit: Found some on Prime]
I should start a GoFundMe account for my LED crack addiction.

You'll never get "good" back up light from the reverse bulbs alone.
You also don't have to cut into bumper. Many have used led cubes off amazon and mounted them up and under the rear bumper so you can't see them but they flood the area with light.
I'd just invest in some led cubes for roughly the same price as some of these bulbs and get more light and spread.
I eventually did cut into the bumper to mount some but I wanted more light as I started towing more and it helps when hooking or unhooking at night.
