The XP50's are indeed our highest priced 921-option, but at 410 lumens (measured), they are the brightest self-contained 921 LED on the market:

They work well in the F-150 housings as well!

Anyone?

I will post pictures of the comparison between the two when the new ones arrive.

There is simply no need to pay more for overhyped, overpriced bulbs that are produced in the same Chinese factories and sold under other names and use the same SMD or COB LEDs.

Hell, CREE started out in California, but once they hit it off, guess where they relocated all their production and manufacturing to? That's right - China. Don't buy the snake oil, folks - and don't fall for the marketing gimmicks.
I will stand by for your review and thanks. The man with the box of various lights wins on my book

The ones I'm looking at are kind of similar: https://www.amazon.com/Kawell-K5-511...ct_top?ie=UTF8

I'm thinking some additional clear silicone around the lens/wire penetration, and these should be good to go.

but now i'm working on a set of "all around" lights (front/side/back) and will end up wiring up an additional set of back lights for that.

That's exactly how I plan on wiring mine; I don't need a separate switch. So you didn't wire to the trailer harness, but to the actual reverse light wires? Did you just tap off the positive wire and ground to the frame, or wire up to both of them? It's seems maybe people who wire to the trailer harness are having issues with the backup sensors since the truck may think there is a trailer hooked up.

Mine are wired to the reverse wire om the trailer harness, but I don't have reverse sensors so I don't have any issues.

You simply can't make a case against 144 LEDs in a single bulb. I chose the red over the white because it was a deeper color, but just as bright.

Did you have any problems with the lights flashing fast like one was burnt-out? I don't know if these trucks have this problem, but when I had my Crown Vic this was a big problem when replacing stock bulbs with LEDs.
