What a difference E-85 makes!!
Mike Up - What page?? I've never seen it and I've looked.
Flexible fuel vehicles (FFV) must also relearn the ethanol content of the fuel for optimum driveability and performance.
During the summer season, fuel ethanol may contain a maximum of 85% denatured ethanol (Ed85) and 15% unleaded gasoline. The fuel ethanol has a higher octane rating than unleaded regular or premium gasoline and this allows the design of engines with greater efficiency and power.
Fuel smart people already know alcohol turns more power and use it. Nascar uses it. They are getting better fuel mileage due to design and fuel injection. It is the cleanest way to raise octane in fuel. One fact, it is almost impossible to overheat a alcohol fueled motor. The intake manifold can actually be so cold as to freeze ice on it on a 100 degree day. The properly design is what is so important, not fuel. That is where fuel injection, compression, VVT and ignition come in. If U turn 450 HP U can run a much lower ratio rear end then U can with 275 HP. There simply can never be enough Ethanol to fuel it all. It along with CNG are great for the farmers and the air in big cities.
We forget so easily how much damage old gasoline additives did to the world environment.

I threw 15 gallons of it in my tank this last fill up and topped it off with 91. Its more responsive for sure and just from watching the data on my Livewire and the amount of timing that is being added over 91 its obvious its beneficial.
The product being good or bad has nothing to do with the practice that makes it. The product itself works great, but needs to be handled a little differently than gasoline.
