E85 doesn't add any power, it actually decreases power and gas millage unless you tune your truck to run specifically E 85

Flex fuel comes with the tune and injection for it and the motor/fuel system is designed with it in mind. With that tune in mind E85 is adding oxygenator to combustion for a cleaner burn utilizing all its increased torque with the hammer down.
It is more noticeable with the 3.7L, it has 11 to 1 pistons and is even more efficient on E85. Would like to see one with NOS and added injection of E85 like some 5L's.

It doesn't matter, it will not add power

Yes it does. Might want to do a little research. The 5.0 is tuned to take advantage of the octane of e85. The mileage will suck, but it does increase power.

You're wrong. Sorry. It has a fuel map for e85 and on the dyno has proven that it makes more power than 93.

This is exactly how incorrect information gets spread. Straight from Ford in the owner's manual, it states that e85 increases both hp and tq.

These new Flex fuel F150's not only have more torque With E85 but also get better fuel mileage with it than 2003's got on strait gas. So If U watch UR prices UR ahead with E85 over the past generation on 87 octane did. Of course most of the time we all want ever better gas mileage. I have found in hot weather at 70 mph there is 1 mpg difference between E85 and 87 octane over long drives of say 500 miles. The added torque is nice with the AC working overtime.

E85 actually cools the intake temperatures as compared to gasoline, like methanol does, though not as much as meth. Higher air temperature mean less timing but when you can get those temperatures back down you can add timing back.

I don't think ethanol will ever get the fuel economy that gasoline does regardless of temperature.

You sir, are ignorant. I gained 44hp at the wheels on e85.
