2012 FX4 Appearance Package. There's a button just underneath the steering wheel. Anybody else have this? And what it might be for?

 

Valet button for an aftermarket alarm would be my guess.

Defiantly a button to double your horse power and MPG!

But in all honesty, looks like a custom installed button for some aftermarket electronics. Best bet would be Chad's with an alarm system of some sort. I have three very similar switches I installed in my dash to operate additional aftermarket lighting.


You could try to follow the wires to see where they go. Or if you have thus far resisted the urge to flip the switch, do it and see what happens. =)

my 2012 FX4 tuxedo black does not have it??? must be aftermarket??

maybe a turbo boost??

 

Remote starter would be my guess as well.
